Tachometer cable

Postby George Kretschmann » Sun Feb 03, 2013 8:40 pm

I'm looking for a source for the inner cable for the tachometer on my PA-30. Webco said they did not have any Aircraft Spruce might be able to make some.. Does anyone know of a supplier for this? Thanks George

I think you can get replacements made up from an automotive repair shop that does speedometers, etc. I think it is basically a matter of swaging the correct ends on a new piece of cable.

The parts manual states the tach cable is 146" long I measured both of mine today and they are 147.5 from tip to tip and Aircraft spruce can make one a the cost of $140, FWIW. George
