Push To Talk Button

Postby Warren Janzen » Tue Apr 07, 2015 7:50 pm

I want to mount a new Push to Talk button on my yokes. Anyone have some photos? I'd like the cleanest way to do this without using velcro and a splitter cable. I have that now. I've seen the leather wrap system. Any other options? Photos and part numbers greatly appreciated. Warren

Warren, before I installed Rams Horn yokes on my last 250, the original yoke had a plate mounted under the left side of the top bar, with 2 mach' screws thru the bar.
I believe it came with the C-2000 AP and has holes marked for 3 PB switches - Mic, CWS, and A/P Dis.

Wouldn't be hard to make and install such a plate for only 1 switch, if that's all wanted. Or use this one, I could send you. My phone/camera is down right now, else I would send you a picture. Surely someone else will tho. It must be a common thing.
Let me know.
Best, Don
PS, Looked again and the right side yoke has same size plate, at right side under top bar, but with only one hole - presumably for a push to talk button only.

PPS, Photo is of course of the Pilot side yoke. Co-Pilot plate is similar tho on right side of yoke, and only a hole for the Mic button on its right.
Both are convenient to the thumbs.

Here's ours on the copilot side
It requires some customizing
We first drilled the hole for the threaded shaft, the enlarged from underneath for the switch body.
Hope that helps
