I'm having an avionics upgrade done on my 260 and the avionics shop saw this when they took the panel apart. The yellow bracket is the left support bracket for the radio stack. As you can see, someone has cut the bracket (why???). Is this something that needs to be repaired? Does anyone know where I can get one of these? Any old Comanches laying around being disassembled for parts?

This requires a doubler and must be done by an A&P/IA/ An avionics repair station cannot repair structure.

It's simpler to do a doubler. If you find a part the old has to be drilled out and the new riveted in ..... it is simpler to to perform a repair. The panel components provide torsional integrity for the airframe so this must be repaired.
