Need Autopilot Course Amplifier
I am in need of a functional 1D395 Course Amplifier for my Altimatic IIIB in my 69 C Model Twinkie. Any suggestions?

Re: Need Autopilot Course Amplifier
My 1D395 died on my 1969 C. Autopilot Central quoted me $2,000 to repair it. I converted to a Century III which got rid of the troublesome 1D395 and the more troublesome altitude selector. I much prefer a simple altitude hold button rather than the squirrelly pre-select. The trim system, roll servo, glideslope coupler, and the wiring harness is the same. It cost me about $4,000 for the parts and the STC for the conversion. It is a bit hard to know how much the labor should be, as I had to figure out all sorts of things. I could probably do it in about 25-30 hours. That includes removing the Autoflite system which is not part of the STC so I picked up a couple of pounds of useful load.
