Instrument panel

Postby Todd Skalsky » Sun Jan 26, 2014 6:29 pm

Hi all,

I am wanting to install an engine monitor and am wondering if the panel in my 63 250 is two piece. I want to take the old tach and all gauges out but don't want to redo the whole panel at this time. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Todd Skalsky

Todd,

Depending upon what model you buy, it may or may not be STC'd to replace the gauges.

For our Twin, the JPI just took a slot and the panel was cut a little to accommodate. Ours is also a two piece.

Your panel is really one piece with a floating section over the pilots yoke. You cannot remove the rest of the panel without cutting it away. I do not know what you have in your panel now, but if you can get it somewhere on pilots side somewhere, you would be most happy.

Todd,

If you don't already know it, JVB is in the business of doing fabulous panels.
