Inst panel lights Rheostat

My panel lights when turned on dims the LG light but pops the 5amp CB in the rheostat pos in 3 to 4 sec without any inst lights
coming on The rheostat switch after passing the on pos to increase brightness moves freely without restriction it doesn't feel normal
like other rheostats,The A/P is a PA30C the switch part# TS 8568 Has anybody experienced this problem? where can I find this switch.

The dimmer was made by Ohmite. They still make dimmers that are very similar. You might at least be able to get replacement rheostats which can replace the two in your system. Check their website.

Kristin, Thanks for the info Muncie & Dotson aviation + global have used ones apparently these switches don't go bad that often
so we might have other issues.
