INoperative Stall Indicator

Postby Joseph Munoz » Thu Apr 18, 2013 7:36 pm

So heres a question i have heard different answers on. If my stall indicator on the Comanche is Inoperative and I decide to placard it as inoperative am I legal for flight. I have heard from some pilots that its ok. I have also heard other people say it depends if its listed as required bye the typre certification of the aircraft. I do not see an (R) next to stall indicator on the equipment list of the aircraft so I assume that its not required.

Joseph,

It all depends on what model your Comanche is? On the 180 it is shown as optional, other models required. It is a very simple system to troubleshoot and repair.
