Fuel Pump Switch
I'm certain someone here has replaced the 2 Fuel Pump Switches on a PA-30. Are the switches a Webco item or do I need to get them elsewhere? thanks George
I took the bird out and "Exercised" her today for a 2 hour trip she ran great.

Re: Fuel Pump Switch
Mine are toggles. I have had the strobe switch go bad so I'm thinking about replacing the all for the most part, what can you expect after 50 years of good service. What about something like this... http://www.summitracing.com/parts/prf-8 ... dia/images. I have the service manuals for the plane so I do have the piper parts number for them. I was thinking maybe there was another way to go. Thanks George

Re: Fuel Pump Switch
Webco, KRN, or Preferred Airparts might have the actual Piper ones. Otherwise, Allied Electronics, Mouser, Newark, or one of the other electronic parts houses will have tons of switches to choose from.

Re: Fuel Pump Switch
I ordered this one..the spec sheet indicated it is used in commercial aviation.

I guess while I'm replacing the toggle swithces I may as well replace the electric fuel pumps as well.

Re: Fuel Pump Switch
The switches are one thing...the pumps are another. I wouldnt fix those if they aren't broke!

Re: Fuel Pump Switch
Zach, what is the life of the pumps? One was rebuilt in 94 and the other has never been rebuilt or replaced it is the original, that one is screeching while running.
