Century III

Postby Todd Skalsky » Sun Sep 08, 2013 7:32 pm

Hi all,

I am trying to install a century III auto pilot in my 1963 Comanche 250. It currently has an inoperatable altimattic 1. Dos any one have or know where there maybe some mounting brackets for the servos. I purchased this from Wentworth aircraft parts and it came out of a 260 Comanche. It was sold ready to install with everything I needed to install it. They did not send the brackets and now can't find them.

Thanks,

Todd Skalsky N7758P

It is actually a Century III or is it an Altimatic III? There is a difference, though people often get them confused. The Century III has four rocker switches in a row.

There is likely an STC for that installation in the PA-24. To do this legally, you need to get the installation documents from Century and permission to use the STC to modify your aircraft. I would try to get the mounts from Wentworth, but any salvage yard that has a Comanche that has had an Altimatic installed, should have the mounts you need.
