Hej !
I operate a Pa30 c/r in Scandinavia and have the Wiggins Alcohol-Prop-DeIce system installed. The system works well but unfortunately my alcohol pump is on its way to give up (not really unexpected after 57 years of use). The installed pump is the Weldon 100B-6 that later even in the STC was replaced by a Bendix 478360. As the weldon is no longer available and the bendix can be replaced by a PMA from Facet we plan to modify the system to the Bendix/Facet-version. I know that the SA184EA-STC not longer is valid but as its installed in my Pa30 it should be possible to maintain the installed system. Luckily I fond the drawings for the Bendix-installation on Delphi but I would need even the STC-text with both pumps mentioned - does someone have a copy / PDF of the later version of the FAA-STC SA184EA (Wiggins Prop-deice) with both versions of the pumps mentioned ?
Or does someone have another suggestion for replacement of the original Weldon 100B-6 Alkohol-Pump ? Weldon had no direct replacement-suggestion.
As I'm flying IFR in Scandinavia DeIce is more or less mandatory here.

Hi Kolja,
Did you ever find any updates to the above? I am in the same situation with my prop deice 🙈
In the United States an IA is entitled to substitute something like a pressure pump, and certify it. I don't know about EASA rules.
Clearly, the pump that is part of the STC is unavailable, and Wiggins is not interested in helping (since there is no money in it for them) so you need to identify a pump with the same technical data as the original and discuss this with your LAME.
