Spinner Backplate

Has anybody polished there spinner backplate? Or does everyone keep them black in an effort to fend off glare?

Given the shape of the cowling, it's hard to imagine the backing plate giving off glare. You can't see the backing plate from the cockpit of my Comanche. How about yours? Ray B

I don't think I can see mine either. Headed to the airport not to check it out. I am inclined to polish everything!
