Re: Spinner
I just looked in the parts manual and the original part number is 68713-00 if that helps. I am not even sure if I can put an aluminum spinner on this prop?

Re: Spinner
Yes you can. I had aluminum spinners on all my two blade 260Bs. If not polished I had that done. Looks far sleeker than the fiberglass. With your email I will send you pics.

Re: Spinner
Thanks for sending the picture Dave, your comanche looks very nice. I am glad to know that this can be done. Does anybody have the part number for the spinner and the backing plate? Thanks.

Re: Spinner
If the one with Jeff does not work out - try contact with Tim Talley at Clifton Aero. I was there yesterday about spinner wobble problem and he showed me an extra spinner with back plate, it was not off a 180 but he said it would work on my 180 if I wanted to try it. We got mine "mostly" fixed. I do not know if it would work for you.

Re: Spinner
John,
I have the original 180 spinner polished and in excellent condition if you want it. No wobble at all. Removed when I hd to go with a replacement prop.

Re: Spinner
I finally found a new spinner and backing plate. Just an FYI for everyone that Johnston Aircraft sells them new. They are the same shop that makes the wingtips. Looks like I may be flying up that way for a spinner and some wingtips.

Re: Spinner
Pat, thanks but the problem was caused by back plate. They had repaired couple of rivets to nut plates and guess it pulled something out of line and also installed the spinner 180 degrees from what it was, we turned it and made adjustments and it has very little now - not as good as before but very close. Thanks again.

Re: Spinner
If anyone needs one, I have an original painted 180 spinner / back plate from where I changed the prop.
