removal of starter
PA 24-260B starter has died. Cowling is off, battery cable and cable to starter is removed, BUT, what in heck is the technique for getting to the four nuts which mount the starter vertically on the engine? I do not see any way on three of them to get a socket attached. Help! Anyone wit h experience and suggestions??

Re: removal of starter
You have to use an open end wrench.

Re: removal of starter
thanks, open end was part of the solution, needed a crow's foot for one, offset for another, distributor wrench for the next one, and plain open end for the last one, after dropping the oil cooler out of the way. Wow.
