Hi,

Does anyone have experience with the Innovative Scientific Development electric heater application for twin engine aircraft? We have this setup that adds a second 50 amp alternator on the left engine but when the heater is turned on the drive belt is not stable and gets thrown off. The end result is loss of both the heater alternator as well as the other alternator for ship’s power. The propeller must be removed install a new belt…. The drive belt tension has been adjusted in the past to the STC specifications but the issue continues. We would greatly appreciate any feedback or recommendations. FYI my partner in the aircraft is an A&P mechanic. We recently acquired the aircraft but were not responsible for this modification.

I have photos available, but am uncertain how to paste them in from my hard drive for review via this forum. I could send the photos via regular email if that helps.

Thanks in advance for your help
