A friend has a PA-30CR. During annual his Starboard hub and props have been condemned . he is looking for either 2 props or a hub and 2 props that he can overhaul. If anyone knows of these elusive beasts, could they please make contact with me. Thanks
Kate, as you imagine, there is a limited potential supply of used c/r props for the PA30.
I own a c/r PA30 and the topic of props is a study item, but if I was in your friend's position I would replace both sides with new Hartzell high performance props from Knots 2U. John Bailey at Knots has an STC for PA30 props that have a slightly different blade twist that give a better cruise speed. I've found their price to be better than if I buy regular props direct from Hartzell. Obviously, the left side good prop would be incompatible with the new props from Knots so I would sell the existing left prop, and there is a market for those.
