C1A Cylinders
I don't need them (yet) but the engines are about 1400 hrs out of 1800 and I work them hard ( prolonged turboed cruise in the teens) between UK and Cyprus. Initial enquiries in the UK have not been positive.
I would buy a few, rather than just one, and I know one or two others are interested in Europe.
Regards to all,
Trevor

Re: C1A Cylinders
That was just a quick search. They are redily available new from Lyc, as well as from ECI. You should be able to have your local distributor order what you need.

Re: C1A Cylinders
Product Unavailable...
We are currently out of stock of
Lycoming Cylinder Kit.
Please select one of the following three options.
1. Notify me by e-mail when more of this product is available.
Please enter your email address:
and / or
Please enter your name (required):
Phone Number (optional):
Type in the characters you see in this picture (required):
2. I still wish to order. Please add this product.
3. Skip this product, and continue shopping.
I have lodged an order enquiry with them and will see what happens.
After Easter I will contact Lycoming / ECI direct but I am not sure the cylinders are 'readily available': I would be delighted if they were, but the suppliers in the UK don't think so, and they are very familiar with accessing US sources.
Does anybody know where new C1A cylinders actually exist, as opposed to being advertised?
Thanks,
Trevor

Re: C1A Cylinders
A.E.R.O. have replied and confirmed that the C1A Turbo cylinders are available from Lycoming with 7-14 days lead time. I am surprised, but happy It seems the pessimism this side of the Atlantic was not justified.
Thanks for the help,
Trevor
