Postby Gomer Pound » Fri Jul 22, 2016 4:06 pm

Hi, does anyone know of the AC part number for Piper 462-046 Oil Temp sender bulb for IO-320B1A for a 1967 Twin Comanche B?

After lots of searching, including speaking with Piper Service @ Airventure this summer, I believe the AC Oil Temp Sender is obsolete across all makes of airplanes. I ordered the Oil Temp Sender STC SA02349NY from Airparts of Lockhaven. The new sender and resistor that connects to the meter will be installed in November during the annual, if not sooner. I will report back on how well the new Rochester Oil Temp Sender with the added circuit resistor works.

The new sender with a resistor works well. We have one on our PA30B. From memory it's an 82 ohm resistor.
