1964 250 fuel hose routing

Hello all, I have owned N8345P for 13 years and now its overhaul time due to a worn cam. As part of the work while the engine is out I was removing fuel lines for replacement and noticed the fuel supply line from the firewall bulkhead fitting to the dual electric fuel pump assemble did not agree with the diagram in the service manual. My fuel line was routed from the firewall to the nearest side of the e pump assembly. The routing had a very tight bend radius with a very short hose length. I was hoping that someone could verify the proper routing and maybe even have a picture. The images in the service manual are not the best and I want to make sure I get the proper fuel line length allowing the proper routing.

Chris, I came across the same problem on a total restoration of my own 1958 Comanche 250. Whe the time came to install all fuel lines, fittings etc I was unable to get fuel pressure and proper flow. After long periods of study of the parts and service manual, I crawled under two friends Comanches and took several pictures of fuel system hose routing. In the end I actually drew it out on paper to get my own visual. I came to determine the illustration in the manual is incorrect. After installing lines as on two Comanches I had pictures of, I was able to obtain the right pressure and flow volume using 5 gallon bucket and timer method. I struggled with it as mine was a basket case airplane and many things like this were not taken apart by me, therefore nothing to go back on when all new assembly. I ran across a couple of such things during a 5 year restoration that really stumped the mind. Life size jigsaw puzzle but fun to learn and resolve. Picture worth a thousand parts illustrations.
