Rosen sun visors installation
My plane has an Arapaho one piece windshield and the attachment brackets are on the edge of the fuselage just behind the windshield with so little room that I think that they were installed before the windshield, to get these screws out it will be a miracle not to scratch the plastic.
Has anybody run into this before? and if so, how do you attaché the Rosen?
Thanks in advance

Re: Rosen sun visors installation
You are correct about the Rosen visors. They won't fit the Arapahoe windshield. I know because I've tried and had to send them back. The best I can find so far is the Knots2u version which is essentially a cut down version of the stock ones.
Maybe next year when I redo the interior I might be able to make an adapter plate for the Rosen bracket and then be able to install them. It's still a long way off and I'm not sure I'll keep the plane by then.
Good luck. Please keep everyone informed if you come up with something.

Chief Aircraft, Aircraft Spruce, etc have them listed as Sunvisor Piper-Knots 2U, Arapaho Windshield, Rosen.
Still, when I see the drawing of the attachement, I don't believe that they will work.
I am afraid that you are right!

Re: Rosen sun visors installation
It's been a few years since I tried them with no luck. I hope you do and find success. I really want to here about it. Again, when I get around to redo the interior in a year or more I will seriously reconsider them. Thanks for the information.

Re: Rosen sun visors installation
Rosen visors in my 30B with Arapahoe w/s were there when I bought it, so don't know about the installation problems.
But if it will help, I'll try to get and send photos next time in hangar? ( There this morning but hadn't seen this thread.)

Could you please post a picture of your Visors so I can see were I went wrong and any other related information you might have.
Thanks,
