337 for new led lighting?

Postby Kelly W Kober » Wed Mar 09, 2016 9:21 pm

Has anyone gone down this path before? I'm in the process of replacing my current lighting with Whelen's wingtip and tail lights with strobe combinations (A650's and OR500's). I believe this lets me remove my top rotating becacon and my belly strobe. My installer is trying to get a 337 approved and asked me if I could find a copy of one that had been approved before. I've contacted Whelen, and while they don't have one, they think it will be approved.

Kelly,
I believe that the A650 and OR500 combination from Whelen is a STC'd anti-collision system for Comanches. You can download the STC from the Whelen Aviation website.
