Landing Gear Warning Horn/Lights operation
Here's my situation:
1. Gear Up, on jacks.
2. Both throttles above micro-switch detent - GEAR UP light illuminated.
3. One throttle retarded below micro switch - GEAR UP light extinguishes; no audible gear up warning.
4. Second throttle retarded below micro switch (both throttles below micro switch) - Gear up light illuminates, audible gear warning horn chimes in.
5. One (either) throttle advanced above micro switch - Gear up light extinguishes; Gear warning horn extinguishes.
The same results occur regardless of which throttle is advanced/retarded first.
Do both throttles have to be pulled back below the micro switches to engage the gear up warning horn with the gear up by design?
The gear up light extinguishing is wrong, but believe that should be blinking?

What component should be causing the gear up light to blink?

Re: Landing Gear Warning Horn/Lights operation
The system logic is this, With one throttle retarded below the set micro switch position, the gear up light will flash, with both throttles retarded below the set micro switch positions, the gear warning horn will sound.
I believe you have a flasher problem and if my memory serves me correct this part is no longer available or is very expensive. I also remember something about this in the maintenance tips on the
comanche flyer website where there is a fix for this problem.
Ps the system component is located under the nose bonnet in the area beside the voltage regulators.
I just looked this up in the tips section and indeed there is an excellent article to help you get the flasher working again.
Its under the Electrical Systems section , The Comanche flasher.
