Jeff,

I can highly recommend Tim Talley and his guy Shaun from Clifton Aero in Clifton, TX. They would need to fly up but based on the recent turbo repairs for another Twin Comanche and Tim's decades of knowledge on Comanches, they would do a good job. They currently have 4 Twins and 2 singles in their shop as of Tuesday. I fly past a lot of other shops to have my Twin maintained by them. No one is perfect but these guys and wife Jeanni, also an A&P, come awfully close.

Good luck and let us know what happens.

Pat

Newton KS (Webco's home airport) is hollering distance from you. I do not know if they do prebuy inspections but they are certainly capable. Ray B

Jeff,

Ray is correct about Webco's location. They are a stellar source of parts. I've had work done there and the Webco nacelle tanks are on my plane. Phillip in particular has fabulous attention to detail. If Phillip does the pre-buy, I'd be comfortable but since he runs the parts dept, don't know if he'd be off premises long enough to do the pre-buy. If you talk to Phillip or to Clifton, please tell them I said Hi

Pat

Jeff if the turbo twin is in licence it's 5 min's to Webco or a pleasent 1hr and 10min's to Clifton's. What could be better? A chance to go flying with a purpose! Ray B
