Try Dan Williams in Lowell, MI, just NE of Grand Rapids. He maintains my 260 while I am here for the Summer and has a couple others he maintains. The airport is 24C. Forgot to give you the phone number. His Cell phone is, 6168560836

Thanks for the replies. I certainly am willing to go outside MI if that's where I can find someone who knows Comanche's.

Cliff at Heritage is a Tech Director for ICS and maintains several Comanches.

Cliff (Heritage Aero) maintains at least a couple of dozen Comanches... probably more than 30.

If near Traverse City check Cherry Capital at the main airport. Bought my last Comanche there. Since then they have done several prebuys I followed. Very thorough. Maybe too thorough.

Again, thanks all. I am only about 90 mi. north of TVC, Dave. Am trying to get something set up for the time in the near future when I think my current A&P, who has done every annual since the plane was bought in 1965, will be retiring. He is located in downstate MI and does just about nothing but Comanches, but I'm willing to go almost anywhere if I can find someone who really knows Comanches. From what I've read here, Heritage Aero in Rockford sounds like a pretty good bet.

Wow Joey - that knowledge of your Comanche will be hard to duplicate.

When I had to change mechanics - also due to retirement, I 'tried' a couple out by doing an oil change with them and hanging around while they did the work. Two professed knowledge but did not exhibit it ie they didn't know what oil filter to use and didn't know the 50 hours ADs. The third one did. Of course, this was before this Forum existed so references were much harder to come by.

Since I live so far south, I haven't used Cliff but will be interested in your experience. I've heard such great things about him - met him at convention and was impressed.

I hope your A&P is not "Putt". He maintains my bird and I know his retirement is not too far in the future.
