I recently based my Comanche 400 at San Bernardino (SBD) and am looking for a good, local A&P.  Any recommendations?

Joel, we used to have Denny Haskins at Redlands but he retired. The person there who has the maintenance hangar I've had to fix things that he erred with, so Redlands is out. San Bernardino has no "Comanche mechanics". Riverside has mechanics, but since I've had to repair things that were done at Riverside I hesitate to suggest anyone there. Chino is a hot bed of Comanche activity so this is the closest to you.

There is an IA named Gary Brenner who has worked with me on Comanches. Gary knows that if he gets stuck he can always call on me. His number is (949) 400-1842 and his email is snoopers330@aol.com. Gary could be asked to drive to San Bernardino Airport so contact him and ask.

There's a difference between "a mechanic" and someone who knows Comanches, especially with regard to the landing gear.

@patbarry Thanks Pat -  I can appreciate the difference between someone who is a mech and someone who "knows" Comanches.

I'll drop by Chino one day soon and chat with Gary.  I really appreciate the recommendation.

@joelrothschild call Aircrafters in French valley Ca F70. (951) 837-9438. I have owned our 260B for 8 years and Bradford (the owner) is very knowledgeable about the Comanches and has done all the work on ours since our ownership. He has developed a long list of happy repeat Comanche customers. He has completely upgraded our landing gear and has done the famous gear AD that requires a good amount of knowledge. He’s a great guy, very honest. After all, he’s from Canada.
