I see there is a pre-purchase checklist - thank you to all who put that together.  What about a checklist for Twin Comanche annuals?  Apparently Beech has some...

In the Twin Comanche and single engine Comanche service manuals there is a checklist that should answer your needs.

When I do an annual inspection I print off a checklist and as I do the work I check off each line, or mark n/a if inapplicable, all this in addition to the AD list and the log book book review and the annual inspection sign off.

There are also AD requirements. The IA signing off the annual inspection is REQUIRED to have data. Most shops use TData but for Comanches I prefer AdLog since every AD is provided in the AdLog setup. Obviously, the Comanche service manuals lack these so it is a requirement that the person doing the work have access to proper data - and uses it. So often I have come to a Comanche which has had "owner assisted maintenance" to find the owner having done the work, a good 'ole boy signing it off, and ADs being missed. How often I get to a plane that has missing placards on the panel, a C/R that has the incorrect air speed markings on the air speed indicator, or how about a PA30 that I annualled a year and a half ago that still had the corrosive prone bolts in the stabilator to torque tube? How about no POH on board the aircraft, or weight and balance? Shocking to me, yet I find these things prevail even in cases where a shop has done the annuals.

If you decide to do your own work and have an IA sign it off I suggest that you get AdLog, set it up, and follow the ADs. The deficiencies that I have found in mandatory items is alarming.
