Tip tank fuel soleniod Pa-30
Any suggestions on overhauling tip/aux tank fuel soleniod or buying new for a Pa-30?

What is wrong with it? If it is just leaking past the valve, try removing it and flushing it out. Osborne is the only source for approved replacements. Be sitting down when you call.

Its not leaking and I did take it apart to clean but no success. I figured out the Osborne has the STC for replacing the part, which I understand is very high plus the Osborne solenoid replacement part needs the fuel lines to be reworked. I wonder if anyone has had any luck finding a used solenoid valve out of an aircraft junk yard? What does Osborne get for their solenoid valve? Anyway, thanks for your help, Al

I think Kristin's statement of sitting down was an understatement. I would suggest laying on the floor prior to calling to prevent further damage.
I had to replace one in 2012. Purchased from Osborne, $723.00. I don't think there are many options out there aside from that for replacement. Also, it was about a three month wait as I remember.

I try to regularly exercise them to keep them happy - don't necessarily run fuel through them, just switch them on and off on the ground and listen for the click.
