PA 30 Electric fuel pump

Postby wbreise » Mon Jun 28, 2010 12:43 am

I have a small leak in one of the electric fuel pumps in my 69 Twin Comanche. Existing part number is C8100-J. Can this pump be rebuilt in the field? Where can I get an exchange overhauled pump? Wayne

I noticed this is your first post - welcome to the ICS Forum.

Webco fixed my PA-39 fuel pumps. On another occasion, Air Parts of Lock Haven overhauled them - both ICS members and advertise on in the flyer.

There is a lot more to be said on fuel pumps, you might consider searching the site for more thoughts.

Hope this helps.

The pump itself can be overhauled by a number of different repair stations. I had a motor to out on my '69 twin. Those motors are very difficult to get overhauled as they are obsolete. Aviation Innovations have an STC to replace the motor with a current production model which is a continuous duty motor, instead of an intermittent duty motor. For a bit over $1500 I got two new motors and two overhauled pumps. A worthwhile upgrade.
