Weight Of C&D heater

Postby Trevor Laundy » Mon Jul 12, 2010 9:41 pm

At the upcoming annual I am thinking of replacing my Janitrol - the AD is due, I am told. I believe the C&D is a more efficent unit -- useful in Northern Europe in winter, but my main interest is an obsession with reducing the weight of the aircraft and I understand the C&D unit is lighter.

Can anyone give me a figure for the weight saving if I change?

I don't have that exact info, but its not more than a couple of pounds. I wouldn't change on the idea of weight savings. Its not significant.
