upper door latch 1961 pa 24-250
The threaded "bolt that joins the outside latch to the inside t handle on the upper door latch has worn through to the point which it snapped. would someone know where I could purchase a replacement threaded "bolt" for this latch? The t hadle on the inside just threads off of it and the outside button seems to be held on with an allen screw. Any info would be appreciated. Paul. ICS#16999

Paul,
I suggest you take the whole thing out, patch the hole, and invest in a Cherokee style top latch. Big improvement. Webco has them I believe. Short of that, take it apart and it should be a threaded rod that you could make or have made, and reinstall.

Thanks for the info.
Thanks for the help Zach. For now I believe I'll try to fix it with some threaded rod. We just had some expensive panel upgrades done and I fear that if any more money goes the plane I'll be single and living in it. Thanks again, Paul.
