That is easy! Abandon the idea and save yourself a lot of grief and expense for little to no gain. The handbrake works great, lasts a lot time, is easy to bleed. Use the money you save on a nice upgrade.

I AGREE WITH KRISTIN. I've owned both types, with and without, and the simplicity of the hand brake only system wins out. With direct steering rod nose wheel steering there is not much advantage to having toe brakes. Ray B

How about using the money you save on toe brakes for landing gear system up grades? New limit switches and wiring harness after 54 years would be great. Or maybe new main gear conduits? Alternator? Brakes swapped to inside? Tail AD done yet? New LED beacon? All more satisfying than toe brakes. Ray B.

I guess would scratch that mod off my list, i just got the tail horn AD done and while the plane was at part i replace the bearings, in our way to Texas i lost the vacuum pump, ceiling was way low to flight with out altimeter dint want to push our look, plane is currently vfr only, the old Narco mk16 is getting replace soon, have found few issues on the plane engine is not reaching 2700 rpms on take off i just get 2500, prop was overhauled few days ago i think they din't adjust the linkage properly, any way in the next few days i would pick it up and drop it in Orange Tx for service.

Tachometers are notorious for reading slow. Mine read 100 RPM low so I replaced it with a new one, the new one read 75 RPM low! Take a portable RPM checker up (or on the ground) and verify the RPM. You may be surprised. (You can probably borrow the checker from your shop or have them do the check.) Ray B

Alejandro,

Always more fun flying it than thinking about stuff you want done. Flew yesterday, great visibility - even got a smooth landing.
