Stabilator check weight
Does anyone know where I can get Piper p/n 23541-00 check weight for balancing the stabilator on a 400?
Thanks

Re: Stabilator check weight
I realize the manual calls out the old balance weight, but finding the torque about the hinge line with a calibrated scale works just as well if performed properly. I can send you genaric instructions if you can't find the weight and need some. The permissible torques are listed for each flight control surface that requires balancing (ail, stab, rudder) in the maint. manual.
