spinner and propeller de-icing
I have a question about propeller spinner when using alcohol deiced propellers
On our 1968 PA30, on the left engine there is enough space for alcohol pipes between blades and spinner, but on the right engine the spinner has been modified to give space to the alcohol pipe. This spinner has a crack, and I just ask if there is a specific P/N for this spinner, to avoid such a modification of the spinner ?
The propellers are Hartzell HC-E2YL-2BSF
In advance thank-you for your help !

Re: spinner and propeller de-icing
Do you know if there is a visual difference between 27068-00 (PA39 spinner) and 23818-00 (PA30 spinner), in order I can check that ?

Re: spinner and propeller de-icing
My old spinners were pretty cracked and had been repaired a few times. There were cut outs for one or two of the alcohol feed pipes, but certainly not all.
I replaced the spinners last year with composite spinners. I can't recall the supplier. They went straight on, and no cut outs were needed.
With care, you might be able to bend the pipes slightly. Do check them for cracks and security, though. I have had one break off, and it punched a small hole in the side of the fuselage.

I am going to check PN marking on each spinner
I think that the cracked one can be repaired, but I worried because there were cut outs for alcohol feed pipes only on the left spinner, and it's the one which is cracked ...
The composite spinners could be a good and safer choice
