Seat Belt Purchase/Install Buy-in

Postby Josh Boomer » Tue Nov 28, 2017 11:47 pm

I’m hoping someone can help, but in the last 2 issues of the flyer, there has been mention of a seatbelt buyin or some sort and has listed POCs if we’re interested. I have a PA-30 that only has lapbelts in the front seats, so I tried emailing both POCs twice and have received no response. Does anyone have any additional info or other contacts besides “CJStumpf” and “Allenmurray” regarding this?

Thanks,

Josh

There are more than one STC to install front seat shoulder harnesses. Kosola made one, but I'm told they no longer make them. There is a 2nd one, but I'm unsure of who holds the STC. The 3rd one is the one I have in my airplane. I don't have my logbooks with me at this time so I can't give you more information. The 3rd one is by the least intrusive to install.

I know this is not much help, but I didn't want you to feel ignored. I will try and find more information tomorrow and post it. If I can't get on this forum (as sometimes happens), I'll post on the Airworthy Comanche forum on Delphi forums

Sorry I missed your reply Lewayne. I appreciate you looking. I’m just surprised that they have posted two articles in two months and two different POCs in the Flyer indicating a possible solution, yet no one will respond to my (multiple) inquiries.

Try Phill-Air. Don't have any idea of their price, but theirs is the least intrusive to install. You also might try emailing Pat Donovan and asking him what ICS has planned for a group purchase.
