Gas Caps for a PA24-260

Hi everybody I am looking for gas caps for my pa24-260. There seems to be two types of caps out there one is for sn 24-4000 to sn 24-4992, the other is for sn 24-4993 to 24-6000. My sn is 4003 so I ordered the first one. I was just curious as to what the difference was. Does anybody know?

This won't answer your question, but Webco sells different design gas caps that are considered superior to those that came with the airplane. I bought them and can recommend them.
