Fresh Air Vents
Can anyone tell me how to change the vents on either side of the instrument panel on my twin? Looks like I have to take the inst. panel loose. I did the cabin vents, although I had to have new mounting plates made, but can't figure out the other ones. I've got the service and parts manuals, but they aren't clear either.

David:
I have a pa-30b and the vents just are held in place with the plastic trim. Once you take the trim off the pillar on the passanger side and the
entire plastic window trim on the pilots side the vent assemblies just slide out back from the tube coming from the instrument panel side.
Now you might find over the years someone might have put in a screw or 2 , but once the plastic trim is off you will be able to check that out.

Good luck,
