Fire Extinguisher Installation
I have a 260C and would like to install a fire extinguisher. Any comments on installation tips and location would be appreciated.

Re: Fire Extinguisher Installation
I fabricated a flat plate that is mounted on the legs of the right front seat with adel clamps. The fire extinguisher is mounter to the plate. Easy to reach and mostly out of the way.

Re: Fire Extinguisher Installation
Jim - Thanks for the reply. Is your extinguisher and plate mounted on the front of the seat? I remember hearing at some point that the seat structures had a compressibility factor engineered into them for response in an accident. If this is th case, would a plate on the structure be affected?

My guess would be that if you experienced enough Gs to cause a failure to the seat structure, you will probably not be in a condition where you would be able to use a fire extinguisher.
