Door Hinges

Postby William Hughes » Mon Jul 04, 2016 9:15 pm

I am starting to get the cabin door sorted out as it pushes out at the top when in flight. The latches stay latched but the door itself along the leading edge opens up a bit. You can see daylight and of course there is a windstorm.

When I check the door it "wiggles" up and down at the back, as if the hinge pins were loose. For those who have good doors that behave, how much play in the door is there when open?

Minimal play is desired, both the pins and the eccentric bushings in the airframe hinge are subject to wear.
