Cowl Chafe adhesive

What adhesive is used to adhere the cotton cowl chafe?

3M 1300L is a commonly used adhesive, though I doubt it is the only one acceptable.

I like to use Pliobond also. Suggest that you mask off the area just as if you were going to paint. The stuff can be real messy.
