Airtex does not cut out slots for the seat tracks. I used a good local auto upholstery shop.

Usually you can fin someone local that does planes and boats in addition to cars. I'd ask at local FBO's.

You can buy the Airtex and then install it... trim around the seat rails... take it to an upholstery shop and have the edges stitched.

Bought airtex and am very pleased with results. Didn't do cut out after much investigation. Be ready to do more work when you pull seats out. If you pull a floor panel you may find 50 years worth of dirt and grime, decayed insulation and, in my case..an old rat trap. Fortunately it was empty. 8)

Airtex was good for me. The hard part was geeting the old carpet out, removing all the seat rails, old glue, grime, debris etc.

Doesn't your carpet come out at every annual? My mechanic always makes me take it out to inspect gear, fuel pump, flaps, etc.

My carpet is out every year. I want to look under the floorboards! After finding cracks it the bulkheads under the seat rails in multiple Comanches the floorboards will probably start coming out too!
