Airspeed Redline for Comanche 180
The POH (both the original and "updated") for the Comanche 180 lists the airspeed redline (VNE) as 202 MPH. However, the airspeed indicator in my airplane has the redline moved down to 190 MPH (using red tape on the glass face). Question: does anyone know the background of this speed reduction (AD, SB, tail vibrations, etc)? I'm installing an EFIS and want to get the numbers right.

Do you have rudder counterweights installed (the external bob weights at the top of the rudder). If you do not have the rudder weights installed your Vne is reduced by AD to 188 (which is very close to the 190 that you mention). I hope this helps.
